When caring for your natural hair, it is important to choose products that are beneficial to healthy hair growth. When I started transitioning from relaxed to natural hair, it was very important to me to use products that contain all natural ingredients. In the beginning I thought this process was going to be difficult because some products I came across contained ingredients I could not even pronounce or I never heard of them. After some research, I discovered it was not a good choice to use any shampoos or conditioners that contained any types of sodium laurel sulfates (yes, there are many different names for sulfates hidden in ingredients of some products) because it strips the hair follicles and it is a very drying agent. After trying many products some natural or not natural, I was tired of my hair feeling dry after shampooing. Therefore, with a little research, trial, and error I starting making or enhancing my own hair products for shampooing and conditioning.
